Starhawk Getting Two Player Split Screen

Well, its confirmed, Starhawk will be bringing back the good old split screen mechanic. Only this split screen will be two players only, and there will be a great twist. The two players will be able to log into their own PSN accounts to rack up the XP with their own profile, allowing them to still play at a friends house, and not worry about being behind in levels compared to their friend. However, player two will not be able to get trophies during that gaming session, which to most really isn't going to be a big deal. Now if you want to have a friend over, o for it, have some nachos, sit on the couch, trash talk to each other face to face instead of over the mic. The fact that each player can login to their own PSN account is going to be phenomonal and I can't wait to see if more games harness this and put it in their games in the future, which I think they definitely should for full details on the split screen, be sure and check out the Official Playstation Blog here. I personally am starting to get excited for this game, and might just have to pick it up when it comes out on May 8th of this year.
